Marlborough, Mass. January 6, 2014. PortSys announces continued support for Microsoft UAG and Microsoft TMG products through 2020.
In response to the recent announcement by Microsoft Corporation of the end of life of their UAG product and the future end of support of April 14, 2015, PortSys has announced that they will continue supporting their customers and UAG until 2020. PortSys has previously announced a similar support time-frame for Microsoft TMG which was announced as end-of-life in previous announcements.
PortSys CEO Michael Oldham stated, “PortSys understands the significant investment that our customers have made in their selection of UAG as an integral part of their security environment. We recognize that the Microsoft decision to abruptly exit this business leaves customers without a pathway forward. Unfortunately, customers don’t always have the luxury of making changes in their investment that quickly. PortSys values our customers and will continue to support their use of the products that we sold to them for years into the future.”
Mr. Oldham also noted, “We will be making some significant announcements in the near future regarding a pathway forward for our customers and those who have been impacted by Microsoft’s unfortunate decision.”
