PortSys announces the addition of Enhanced Device Management to their Total Access Control product.
PortSys, Inc. today announced the addition of Enhanced Device Management to their Total Access Control product. TAC enhances mobility and provides a unified access experience that secures access to corporate resources regardless of where they reside (local or cloud).
The new Enhanced Device Management allows organizations full control over iOS devices and provides MDM-style features to the Total Access Control product. The Enhanced Device Management adds the ability to control access for hundreds of thousands of mobile devices such as smartphones, tablets and more. TAC now gains the optional ability to create a device approval process which requires that each be approved by an administrator before that device is allowed to access corporate information.
“When you add the device approval process to the already robust authentication that exists in TAC, you now are able to provide three full factors of authentication for end-users before allowing access. Now, a user’s credentials are combined with multi-factor authentication as well as a specifically approved device, before allowing access to valuable corporate resources. All of this is done while making the sign-on process easier for the end user,” said Michael Oldham, CEO for PortSys.
In addition to the device approval process, you can also enforce device behavior and requirements such as requiring a device PIN, restricting access based on device operating system, patch level or even requiring the presence of an anti-virus running on the device.
The feature improvements are included as part of the Total Access Control solution at no additional cost and is available immediately.
