TAC keeps sessions intact even as IP address changes
MARLBOROUGH, MA – May 14, 2019 – PortSys®, a global innovator in information security and zero trust access control for the enterprise, today announced that Total Access Control™ (TAC) now includes data synchronization for array deployments to keep sessions intact as users change locations.
Customers who use TAC across two or more instances can now ensure that users in highly mobile environments will maintain their sessions without reauthenticating, even as they move from one IP address to another. For instance, if a user is on a WiFi network at work but continues the session in a cellular environment outside the office, the session will stay intact even though the IP address has changed.
“Security today is too complicated for end users, especially those who work in mobile environments, and it doesn’t have to be,” said Michael Oldham, CEO of PortSys. “TAC’s ability to maintain a session as a device accesses a different IP address without requiring reauthentication makes the lives of end users much easier, enabling them to remain focused on their work instead of having to log in again.”
TAC makes security simpler, stronger and more unified, offering customers an all-inclusive approach to secure access to valuable resources wherever they may reside, local or cloud. TAC brings together multiple security and access technologies – including VPN, SSL/VPN, SSO, Portal, Multifactor Authentication, MDM, Application Firewall, Cloud Access Control and more – into a single, scalable solution that manages access across the enterprise.
PortSys customers span the globe across many industries, including finance, government, defense, utilities, healthcare, education, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), construction, and other market segments where secure access to enterprise information is vital.
