Upgrade applies security for remote users based on context of access
MARLBOROUGH, MA – March 5, 2017 – PortSys®, a global innovator in information security and access control for the enterprise, today announced that it is expanding Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) support to Mac and Windows customers using Total Access Control™ (TAC).
TAC provides a virtually unlimited combination of granular security controls for most remote applications on the market today, now including RDP. It seamlessly aligns device disposition and intelligence on the user’s context of access with an organization’s security policies, providing sophisticated access controls around the use of RDP.
TAC’s ability to define each specific RDP session with individual security parameters allows IT security administrators to gain tighter control over each remote desktop session. For instance, it could restrict a user who does not meet all the security policies from establishing an RDP session, or use security policies to restrict functions such as printing, downloading of files, or the clipboard to protect enterprise resources.
